Every piece of glass art made by The Glass Shack is unique...it is handmade from design to completion by Caroline. You may see something similar, especially if a design is popular, but every piece is individually handmade in my small workshop using only hand tools and finished in the kiln.
Please take a look at the gallery here, with a brief description and price indication. This is just a very small selection of art pieces available to buy. ..and, to be honest, any of them might have been sold by now! If you have something particular in mind, please get in touch...something similar may already be in the Downderry gallery or it could be commissioned.

Fused Glass "Wave Curtain"
Made from float glass and UGC enamels, this is a unique piece of glass art in a colour mix of Mystic Blue, Teal Green, Teal Blue, Glacier and White Glo on a base of Mystic Blue.
Main piece measures approx 30cmx17cm and base is approx 30cmx10cm.

"SWIRL". .... sold - similar pieces can be commissioned
"SWIRL" is made using glass enamels fused between two pieces of glass.
Kiln fired at around 820c for 24 hours then mounted onto a waxed beech wood base.
Size: glass approx 30cm diameter; 6mm thick

RED POPPY
Stunning fused glass poppy made with red and clear/red stringer glass.
Can be finished as either a wall hanging/centrepiece or with a copper 'stem".
Size approx 30cm diameter.

LARGE ENAMELLED GLASS PORTHOLES
An original ship's porthole, rescued from a marine salvage yard in Plymouth and refurbished before adding an enamelled 'wave'.
The porthole could be fitted directly into a door as a window...it is fully functional.
The whole piece is heavy and will need a fairly sturdy door to support it. The diameter of the glass around 30cm, with the external dimensions 43cm diameter. There are never going to be made again and are priced at £350 each.
DOUBLE WAVE ON WOOD
A "double wave" made from two sheets of 3mm thick fusing glass sandwiched with UGC enamels to create the bubble effect. White frit (crushed glass) is then added for texture and to create the sea 'foam'. This is fired at around 820c for 24 hours, then mounted onto waxed and stained wood.
This is a unique piece of glass art and is a 'one off'.

IRRIDESCENT PURPLE AND GOLD GLASS POPPY
Gorgeous and just stunning! Just a look at the finish on the glass of this small poppy...you cannot help but fall in love with it. Nothing else will ever be made that can compare with this small poppy.
Can be finished to be a centrepiece or hang on a wall or can be mounted onto copper pipe.
Size: approx 22cm diameter

COUNTRY TO COAST
Small enamel and glass bowl on base. Fired using UGC enamels in Teal Green, Green, Teal Blue, Mystic, Cornflower and White Glo. Then draped to create the unique shape. One only. £60

"INDIAN FIRE"
A stunning design reminiscent of Indian design in a representation of a flame...using fused glass, stringers, frit and dichroic pieces. The glass measures 27x14cm (max) and wood is 22x7x4cm...total height 31cm. Priced at £75
MACKEREL SHOAL ON WOOD
A unique glass and wood sculpture (as featured in the blog).
The wood measures approx 90cm in length and is around 25cm high. Each mackerel is individually made and fired, then re-fired to include the mounting stick. The nine fish are 3 thicknesses of glass, with frit (glass|) powder sandwiched between the top two layer to create the colour within the body. The top layer of glass is clear iridescent, which creates the beautiful sheen, giving the mackerels a truly lifelike appearance. Each mackerel measures either 16, 18 or 21cm in length. "SPLASH"
Made up entirely of crushed glass pieces (Frit) this unique piece of glass art would look stunning in a seaside themed home. The wood base is made from locally sourced material and has been waxed to finish it.
