Downderry is a perfect location to stay in Cornwall, within easy reach of the North Coast or the far West, or why not pop over the Tamar and visit some of the equally gorgeous coast and countryside of Devon,
OPEN PLAN LIVING/SLEEPING AREA
A comfortable living and sleeping area complete with TV, flame effect fireplace, Wi-Fi and bluetooth speaker
King size bed with luxury bedding supplied, non hypoallergenic pillows and duvets, bamboo towels, cotton rich covers and finished with locally sourced and handmade items.
Three-seater sofa, coffee table, rugs and cushions and throws add to the comfort of your living area, with touches of The Glass Shack here and there.
KITCHEN/DINING AREA
Enjoy your breakfast whilst admiring the breathtaking views from the kitchen ... blue seas and sky overlooking Looe Island and Hannafore in the distance. The kitchen units are bespoke and handmade using 80% reclaimed wood. Gas hob and electric oven, microwave, small fridge/freezer, and all the usual kitchen gadgets that you could need in your home away from home.
All the little basics that you might need to cook are also included in your kitchen.
BIJOU SHOWER ROOM
Small but perfectly functional. Shower room with 'waterfall' shower unit, bespoke handmade reclaimed wood furniture and fittings and electric towel rail/radiator. Also featuring a unique handmade glass Splashback made by Caroline...oh, and a vanity mirror with in-built Bluetooth speaker - yes, you can listen to your favourite music whilst taking your shower.
Bath and hand towels are included, along with all the little things that should be in a holiday home from home.
OUTSIDE
To the front of the apartment is a small outside area with seating ... perfect to enjoy an afternoon cream tea or a 'sundowner' as the daylight fades over Looe Island.
DOWNDERRY AND SEATON
Both Downderry and Seaton boast beautiful dog friendly beaches and there is a fabulous Nature Reserve in Seaton with ponds and river and woodland walks. Both villages are also blessed with superb eating and drinking establishments. In Seaton (200m) you will find The Beach House, The Smugglers Inn and the Seaton Beach Cafe. Downderry (800m) offers you Summink Different, the Inn on the Shore and (coming soon) The Conch.
A BIT FURTHER AFIELD
We are located within a 15 min drive of Looe, which is also accessible along the South West coastal path if you prefer to walk (about and hour and half).
Much of Cornwall is easily accessible for a day out, with particular favourites of ours being The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mount Edgcumbe House and Park, Fowey and Mevagissey or a walk around the coast and countryside of Lansallos, or take a trip to the North Coast to Boscastle or Port Isaac.
Fancy a day out in a city....Truro is less than an hour away or head east to Plymouth, either over the Tamar Bridge or take the Torpoint Ferry.
There is a wealth of information for ideas of places to go in the apartment and we are always available to offer advice.
